1.1 Shortcomings in displaying actual work status
The door of the high-voltage switchgear is always sealed during operation. Traditional high-voltage switchgear uses organic glass pasted on the cabinet door to indicate the primary wiring of the high-voltage switchgear. This indication method is static. Only the on duty personnel can know the function of this high-voltage switchgear, and cannot know the actual working status of the primary components inside this high-voltage switchgear.
1.2 Shortcomings in temperature and humidity control
When the temperature and humidity reach a certain level, condensation will occur inside the high-voltage switchgear. The occurrence of condensation inside high-voltage switchgear can cause insulation accidents. When using traditional high-voltage switchgear, duty personnel need to conduct regular daily inspections to check for condensation. When condensation is detected, the on duty personnel manually turn on the heaters and exhaust fans configured inside the high-voltage switchgear
The connection part of the electrical equipment inside the high-voltage switchgear often experiences an increase in temperature during high current flow, leading to equipment aging and a decrease in insulation performance. The use of traditional high-voltage switchgear is mainly carried out by on duty personnel to regularly inspect the equipment using infrared thermal imagers, thermometers, temperature indicators, and other means. This method can only regularly monitor temperature data and cannot achieve real-time monitoring. It also cannot alarm when the temperature is too high. At the same time, only the temperature of the exposed contact points can be measured, and the temperature of the contact points, cable heads, etc. inside the electrical equipment cannot be monitored.
Shortcomings in electrical testing
The traditional high-voltage switchgear that is currently widely used is fully enclosed and equipped with mechanical "five proof" locking devices, which cannot meet the requirements of safety operation regulations of "checking electricity before hanging grounding wire". Because during the process of performing line maintenance operations, it is necessary to verify that the equipment has been powered off before pulling the car from the working position to the test position. The high-voltage live display device on traditional high-voltage switchgear has some defects. Traditional high-voltage switchgear cannot use portable voltage testers to test equipment. Therefore, the inspection of traditional high-voltage switchgear has always been a major problem that troubles safety production.
